Why is it that the smartest people, the ones who are actually right, often lose?

We like to believe good ideas always rise to the top. That truth, logic, and brilliance will eventually win.
But in reality, it’s not always the smartest idea that wins but the idea with power behind it.

Power gives ideas a voice. It gives them visibility, resources, influence. Without power, even the most brilliant thoughts can die in silence.
History is full of people who were right too early, too quiet, or too powerless to be heard.

It’s not fair, but it’s real. The world doesn’t reward what’s true; it rewards what’s backed. That’s why you’ll see average ideas go far when someone powerful believes in them, while great ones fade away because they had no support.

So if you have a good idea, don’t just defend it, build power around it.
Learn influence. Build leverage. Gain attention. Because in this world, truth needs power to survive.

And that’s the part most “geniuses” never understand.
