Isaac Newton did write about 2060 as a possible date for the end of the world, but he didn’t predict it in the way people often think.
He wasn’t making a prophecy—he was analyzing biblical texts, particularly the Book of Daniel, and calculating a date when he thought Christ would return and establish a new divine kingdom.
Newton actually dismissed apocalyptic fears of his time and said people shouldn't be obsessed with predicting the world's end. His notes on 2060 suggest he saw it as a possible turning point rather than a literal doomsday.
