For iPhone: Download the free "1.1.1.1: Faster Internet" app from the App Store. Open it, accept terms, and install the VPN profile when prompted.In the app menu, go to Advanced → Connection Options → DNS Settings and select "1.1.1.1 for Families" (blocks malware too). Turn on WARP mode. This works on cellular data, which iOS normally doesn't let you change DNS settings for.
For Android:
Go to Settings → Network & Internet → Private DNS → Private DNS provider hostname. Enter: dns.adguard-dns.com and save. This blocks ads and trackers at the network level for all apps.
