The First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, has presented cheques worth over N427 million to the widows and orphans of fallen heroes of the Nigerian Armed Forces.
- The presentation was made as part of the Social Investment Programme under the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), which Mrs. Tinubu chairs.
- The First Lady said that the presentation was not only to remember and honour the fallen heroes for their sacrifices, but also to empower their wives and children who have endured so much.
- It is hoped that the funds will enable the recipients to capitalise on existing businesses or start new ones
