NSEMA's interim Director-General, Alhaji Salihu Garba, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the agency received the report of the boat mishap on Monday between 11 am and 12 pm.
Garba explained that the search and rescue operations were ongoing and being conducted by local divers and boat owners under the supervision of the agency's desk officer in Agwara.
